Unlike many Inns, The Ascot Country Inn is not short on space, giving you numerous "break out" options for small group discussions. We also have special rates for charitable institutions and we look forward to discussing your detailed requirements with you. With its extensive grounds, front and rear deck areas and stunning views all around, it is difficult to imagine a more restful and beautiful facility in which to celebrate your special occasion. The Ascot Country Inn offers a limited number of wedding dates during the year for our exclusive wedding weekend packages. We believe our photographs say everything about the beauty of our site. Combine that with the personal attention we give to every detail, every nuance of your event (you'd think it was our own daughter getting married!) and the result is unsurpassable. |

The Royal Ascot Room is truly the centerpiece of the Inn, not only because of its unusual architecture but also because it is our main gathering area. It is a beautiful room with soaring cathedral ceilings and a unique galleried landing with intricate, gold leafed wrought iron railings. At the far end of the gallery is a lounge area for Inn guests to spend a quiet evening playing chess, watching the 42" big screen television, or simply reading that dog-eared paperback. For those gifted in music, try the state of the art digital grand piano or play your favorite CD on our top of the line audio system. The lower floor of the Royal Ascot Room doubles as our dining area, where you will be seated each morning at restaurant style tables private enough to ensure your conversation remains intimate. It is also home to our antique English Bar styled with inlaid wood and Italian tiles. If only the bar could speak, it would recall many tall tales told during pleasant evenings spent in conversations with our Inn guests-turned friends, our favorite people. Either the upper or the lower floor of the Royal Ascot Room can easily be used for meetings, lunches or other activities. Connected to our Royal Ascot Room by six sets of Double French doors is our Canterbury Conservatory. The Canterbury Conservatory has a distinctively European feel, from the imported Italian tiled floor to the mural of a Parisian street scene painted on the interior walls. We like to think it also brings the outside "in", as three sides of the conservatory are fitted with fully openable windows which afford beautiful views of the rear gardens and the back deck area. Just outside of the Conservatory are two Victorian gazebos, offering an inviting place to relax in the garden on a beautiful country afternoon. On many nights we have found our guests seated here, savoring a chilled bottle of Perrier, surrounded by candlelight, while the fireflies dance in the cool night air. |

At The Ascot Country Inn, the elegance of our interior space is complemented nicely by the beauty of our surroundings. We are situated in the lee of the Blue Ridge Mountains with superb views from almost any part of the grounds. The rolling farmland to the front of the Inn is inhabited only by deer, raccoon and foxes, and Inn guests are often serenaded at dusk by the gentle lowing of the cows cared for by the local farmer. |

A favorite pastime of many of our local neighbors is to "hack out" - or, to lay people, trail ride - directly over the road from the Inn, so it is not unusual to spot horse enthusiasts, in full English attire, riding across the pasture. Occasionally, you might even hear a voice shout "Tally ho!", and suddenly a group of riders fashionably suited in brilliant red hunt jackets and polished black boots, surrounded by excited hounds, may streak across our paddock. Animal lovers, don't worry-we have it on good authority that foxes generally lead the riders on a merry, but ultimately fruitless, chase! The gardens at The Ascot Country Inn are spontaneous and colorful, filled with culinary herbs, blossoming annuals, and thriving perennials. We have taken care to select plants and flowers that are fragrant and lush, attracting rainbow colored butterflies, hummingbirds, and our favorite, the praying mantis. We want you to feel like you can touch, sniff and enjoy the feel of the country, so our grounds are casual and natural, perhaps reminding you of the weekend at your grandmother's farm when you were a child. |

We invite you to take time out to relax in the Inn's gazebos in the front or rear gardens and watch nature in all her glory. Bring your camera and photograph the bird life encouraged to thrive in the Inn's gardens, or capture forever the beautiful views surrounding the Inn without leaving the comfort of your chair. Celebrate the passing of the seasons; Spring, when the world awakes in full bloom, the lazy, hazy days of Summer, the sparkling, brilliant colors of Autumn and even Winter, when the world sleeps under a pure, fluffy blanket of white. |

The Inn has a number of elegantly appointed guest rooms, each distinctly decorated in our own eclectic style, and each equipped a host of amenities designed to cater to your every comfort. And in case you are wondering how we decided upon our room names, they are all racetracks, in keeping with our Inn name, The Ascot. Our room rates range from $175 - 275 per night excluding 9.5% tax. Room rates depend upon the room selected, day of the week, and season. We also offer special packages for midweek stays or memorable occasions, and in room amenities to complement any celebration. Or, perhaps you are attending Equissage, or another residential course, and need accommodations for a longer time period. You're in luck! The Inn is pleased to provide extended stay discounts for those of you staying with us from Sunday Night to Friday morning, even during high season. |
Regardless, all of our room rates include a full, cooked to order breakfast the following morning, served in our Royal Ascot Room, from 8:30 to 10 AM. We offer a number of different entrees, from decadently sweet to melt-in-your-mouth savory, and we can accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have (but please let us know in advance). The Inn also offers evening dining, both in the form of casual pub style selections perfect for a quick bite, to a once per week four course prix fixe menu for those who wish to linger over their meal. Our room rates are always based on single or double occupancy. Only our two-bedroom Preakness or Belmont Suites can accommodate up to four persons. When more than two people are occupying the suite, there is an extra person charge of $50 per person per night. Please be aware that, due to fire regulations, the use of air mattresses or cots is not permitted in any of our guest rooms. |
| Between April and early November, the Inn requires a two night minimum stay, but this is certainly not written in stone. Give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. | |
