Travel information about Brookings, Oregon

Brookings is a city in Curry County, Oregon. It is home of one of the niceset B&B's around. Be sure and check out the Brookings bed and breakfast for the best in accomodations!! The American Music Festival (AMF) concert series is a community production and admission is free. Concerts are held in Azalea Park at approximately 1:00 pm every other Sunday from the start of June to the middle of September. Support is primarily by sponsorship with additional revenue from concessions. These funds are used to hire and pay performers' expenses and to cover the associated costs of holding the concerts, including promotion, staging and sound equipment. Arizona Beach is a two-third mile stretch of sand bookended by two rocky headlands. The headlands shelter the beach from prevailing winds, creating temperatures warm enough to give the site its name. The Port of Brookings-Harbor enjoys easy access from Highway 101. From the South (California) a left-hand turn, at the Benham Lane traffic light, leads the driver onto Lower Harbor Road and to the southern end of the Port area. Your first impression of Loeb may well be the scent of the myrtlewood forest ... a crisp, bay leaf aroma. The park is nestled in a grove of these lovely trees. Many of the trees in the park are well over 200 years old. The Chetco River swirls and dances just beyond the park. They are wonderful at Rancho Viejo! The food is amazing! O'Holleran's Restaurant was the best meal we had on a seven day road trip throughout Oregon. Brookings inn is a great place to relax after your busy day of sight-seeing!
