El Prado is located in northern New Mexico and is home to several hospitable El Prado B&B establishments. The city offers several dog parks for pet owners and is located in Taos County. El Prado is about 40 miles from Santa Fe and has three hospitals.. If you are visiting someone in an El Prado Hospital, be sure to book a room at a nearby El Prado inn or El Prado bed and breakfast. El Prado has a relatively low crime rate and many historic landmarks are just a short drive away. Be warned that El Prado has very warm weather. The Baha'i Faith is a religion unique to New Mexico and provides cultural interest. In June, the Taos Solar Music Festival is held at night. The New Mexico Museum of Science and History is located near El Prado and provides an educational and fun environment. The Puye Ruins are a historic landmark only an hour from the city.
