Open year around, The Angel of the Sea is Cape May's largest and most elegant bed and breakfast. Each guest room is uniquely furnished and decorated, most have ocean views, and all, of course, have private baths. In addition, all guests have access to The Angel's many porches and verandas.

Although well-behaved children over the age of eight are permitted at the Inn, they are seldom present, making The Angel a perfect destination for honeymooners, couples celebrating a special anniversary, or those just looking for a quiet, romantic getaway for two.

Mornings at The Angel begin with a hearty, sumptuous, full breakfast. Guests can help themselves to a buffet of fresh fruits, cold juices, a variety of cereals, mouth-watering freshly baked muffins and coffee cakes, a wide assortment of teas and one of The Angel's many popular hot fruit dishes. Guests then choose one of two gourmet entrees which are served piping hot to their table.

Tea is a high point at The Angel and is served every afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m. In the warmer months guests are invited to retire with their goodies to the porches and verandas to enjoy the cool ocean breezes and panoramic views of the Atlantic. In the winter, tea time is an opportunity for guests to gather in the parlor and enjoy each other's company in front of the blazing fireplace.

Wine and cheese is served each evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and gives guests a chance to relax and prepare their palates for dinner at one of the many wonderful local eateries. Five of the top ten restaurants in New Jersey are located in Cape May just minutes from The Angel.

All rates are for two people and include full breakfast, afternoon and evening refreshment daily, plus use of bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels, depending on the season. Free off-street parking. Courteous help in securing reservations at Cape May's finest restaurants. Additional guest in the same room is $35 per night depending upon availability. All rates subject to 7% N.J. Sales Tax and 7% Occupancy Tax. Children over 8 years old welcome. Smoking is permitted on the verandahs only. 50% or 1 night deposit (whichever is greater) or $35 credit card deposit required when making a reservation. Balance due at check-in, payable in CASH or CHECK. There is a $35 processing fee on all cancellations. A 15-day notice is required to avoid additional penalties. Sorry we are not responsible for early departures or inclement weather. Check-in time 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
