Travel information about Lexington, Massachusetts

Lexington is in Middlesex County, in eastern Massachusetts, and borders such towns as Woburn, Winchester and Arlington. It is known for being the site of the first battle in the Revolutionary War. During the third week of April each year, the town celebrates Patriot's Day. If you come for that event, book a room in a Lexington B&B or Lexington inn, so you will be just minutes from Lexington's 900-acre Minute Man National Historical Park and the National Heritage Museum, where the activities take place. On your trip, you will also be able to visit the many other historical buildings, parks, and monuments, most dating from Colonial and Revolutionary times, in Lexington. After resting up at a Lexington bed and breakfast, check out Dalya's Restaurant, which offers fine dining in a cozy, rustic farm house, decorated with antiques and wrought-iron chandeliers. Nearby Walden Grille also offers fine dining in the relaxed atmosphere of Concord's first firehouse, dating from 1903.
