The city of Henderson is located on the banks of the Ohio River and boasts of several fine B&B establishments that are sure to be perfect for any special occasion. Tri-fest is an annual festival held every April by the Henderson breakfast club. This is a street festival. The festival is used to raise funds for non-profit organizations. A free music festival called the Handy blues and barbecue festival is held every year to celebrate the life and legacy of William Christopher Hardy. John James Audubon State park houses artifacts and exhibits on the life of naturalist and artist John James Audubon. Ohio valley art league is a visual arts museum which exhibits artworks of forty two artists from the local area.
