You'll adore our guest rooms with original fine art and an elegant legendary seven-course breakfast presented with flowers and fine china. Each guest is welcomed with warm, exceptional hospitality - you won't want to leave.
The Flower Patch Bed & Breakfast has been featured in Midwest Living Magazine, Tea Time Magazine, 20 Great Weekend Getaways, Travel America, Best Weekend Drives, Country Sampler, and Country Magazine. The Flower Patch Bed and Breakfast lives up to its reputation as one of the memorable, premier, life-time experiences.
For more than 20 years the Flower Patch has built a solid reputation as the premier B&B experience in Central Illinois. The breakfast is one of the reasons.
Served at 8 AM, featuring a different menu each day, and focusing on ways to indulge guests, the Flower Patch creates a story-telling moment with each breakfast. It's more than a culinary experience; it's an artistic event. With more than 10 sets of porcelain china and a variety of table settings, the Flower Patch can still surprise those who return with their friends. A special part about the breakfast experience is that, after ringing her bell at the table, Lynne announces all of the intriguing creations for the full seven-course menu. Because this is Amish country, we start breakfast with a silent, Amish-style prayer that accommodates people from all faiths.
During the summer months, the breakfast artists use the lush garden herbs and flowers to embellish the dishes. Sometimes Lynne, an expert gardener, not only presents food, but, also, explains the nature of the plants and flowers. More than a breakfast, the experience of eating at the Flower Patch's table appeals to the palate as well as to the mind.

The Flower Patch Gardens
The Flower Patch Gardens feature a variety of herbs such as rosemary, tarragon, thyme, and oregano in preparing the legendary breakfast. The garden also produces grapes which are processed into juice, and tomatoes, onions, peppers, beans, and peas. The garden gazebo, the attractive stone garden with its fishpond, and the meandering paths all serve as a pleasant breakaway from conferences and group activities, a place where couples can be alone, or a place where one can relax and forget about puzzles and problems.
The garden also works itself into artistic interior of the house. Lynne, an artist of several mediums, who specializes in porcelain painting, has been painting for many years. Many of the flowers find their way into the pictures that decorate several walls of the house.
