VOTED BEST Bed & Breakfast in Colorado Springs ~ The Gazette

Beautiful Surroundings The GuestHouse is located on the site of the 1892 city hall, fire station and jail which was surrounded by saloons, gambling parlors and brothels. Ongoing restoration of Old Colorado City has enhanced its beauty without diminishing its charm. The streetscape that greets you as you walk out the front door of the inn will welcome you to this wonderful experience.

Old Colorado City was founded in 1859 as a "Pikes Peak or Bust" gold rush town. The original building burned in 1990. Today the GuestHouse stands at the gateway to Old Colorado City , the "heartbeat of Colorado Springs."

The GuestHouse contains modern amenities which set a new standard for bed and breakfast travelers. The foyer has an elevator to facilitate access by all guests to all areas of the inn. The fireplaces in the dining room and library encourage you to mingle with other guests. The game room has a pool table and exercise equipment. The inn has a security alarm system and fire sprinklers to assure your total comfort and safety.

All guest rooms have been architecturally designed to offer maximum privacy, luxury, convenience and safety. They offer fireplaces, personal hot tubs on private porches or steam showers. Each guest room is named after a flower. There is a 20 person private conference room available for a variety of options necessary for private business and social activities. The GuestHouse is also AAA 4-diamond approved.

Dining Room Breakfast is a special time of the day. The guest may want quiet time to read the Wall Street Journal or join other guests to discuss their travels. Breakfast is served in the indoor/outdoor dining area designed to meet those needs. All meals are planned with your health in mind. Special dietary needs will be accommodated. Those with early departure needs will have breakfast to go.

Whatever your plans, the GuestHouse will be a retreat for a private romantic adult escape or a respite after a long business day. All people are welcome in our home. We provide a welcome (home) reception for our guests each evening. Old Town has done this for a long time, the previous owners being instrumental in creating a Colorado liquor license catagory specifically for B&B's. In recent years we have seen this practice at other B&B's as well and as guests we've always found it a wonderful way to relax from a long trip or a busy day of sight seeing, to get to meet our host(s), to find out about the best places to eat, and more.
