Fort Bragg is a Northern California town along the Mendocino Coast in Mendocino County. It is known for its Whale Festival, which includes whale watching and booths selling the products of local breweries, wineries and artisans. It is also famous for its annual Salmon BBQ. The world's largest Salmon BBQ, it takes place each July. The Glass Beach along the waterfront is covered with sea glass. Old bottles and glasses that were once thrown into the water have been smoothed and polished by the ocean. These beautiful bits of glass can be found just outside of town. The North Coast Brewing Company makes its home in Fort Bragg. It is best known for its Red Seal Ale and it also operates a pub in town. The Mendocino Chocolate Company here is popular for its fresh hand-decorated chocolate truffles, while Cowlick's Icecream Cafe in historic downtown Fort Bragg offers premium ice cream in a variety of favors.
