Introduction
Stay in a charming, historic house -- Jenny Kent's Bed and Breakfast --moderately priced and conveniently located off the I-8 interstate. Jenny's is nestled in the the historic Century Heights District of Yuma.
Across the street from The City of Yuma Branch Library, Jenny's is a short walk to the Yuma Historic Downtown and a five minute drive to the Yuma Palms Mall. A grocery store is close by. We provide a homelike atmosphere in six European-style bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Relax in a large common room with computer and internet access. Provisions can be made for extended stays with kitchen privilages. We serve a continental breakfast, with full breakfast on request. We treat our guests like family.
The Jenny Kent Home was originally built in 1905 by a Yuma school teacher, Jenny Kent, who taught at the Second Avenue School across the street. The Jenny Kent Home sits on a hill overlooking the original Yuma Downtown and is among the few wooden downtown residences to survive the Colorado River Flood of 1917. Listed in The Arizona State Historical Property Inventory, Jenny's has recently undergone extensive restoration.
