Introduction

McKibbon House Bed and Breakfast Inn is just 30 miles from downtown Birmingham, home of Alabama Theatre, Barber Motorsports Park and Museum, Birmingham Museum of Art, McWane Center, Oak Mountain State Park, Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, Sloss Furnace and Vision Land Water Park. It is also only 65 miles north of Montgomery via I-65 and a one hour drive to Talladega, home of the Superspeedway and NASCAR Racing events.

Built in 1900 and restored in 2000, the Victorian home retains all the ambience of the Victorian era even though it has been updated to include modern conveniences. Each of our four bedrooms has a private bath, data port, wireless internet service, phone, TV, VCR, ceiling fan and clock radio. We have over 200 videos in our movie library for your viewing pleasure. Your hostesses are true Southerners and you will be treated to true Southern hospitality. A full breakfast is only one of the amenities offered during your stay at our inn.

Whether it's a romantic weekend getaway, quiet vacation or romantic honeymoon travel spot, we cater to the comfort of all our guests. For the safety of our guests, the house is equipped with a sprinkler system and smoke detectors and insulated with Icynene, the only insulation approved by the American Lung Association. Amenities include off-street parking, wine and cheese in the afternoon, snacks and drinks right outside the room, turn-down service if desired, early morning coffee in upstairs common area, and a full breakfast. Each room has its own personality.

Rates and Policies
  • Our rates are $120 plus applicable taxes.
  • $20 for each additional person over 2 in room.
  • A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation.
  • Cancellation notice required - 72 hours prior to arrival date.
  • Check In: 3 - 9 p.m.; Check Out: 11 a.m. (unless prior arrangements have been made).
  • No smoking is allowed inside the home.
  • Smoking is permitted on verandahs and on the lawn.
